The iConference Early Career Colloquium is an opportunity for pre-tenure faculty and post-doctoral researchers to engage with senior faculty mentors in large and small group conversation on topics related to early career success.
This year, the topic will be a discussion with on the nuts and bolts of the publishing process, understanding some of the roles (executive editor, senior associate editor, editorial boards), and getting involved with editorial boards for early career researchers/faculty. The panel will also be happy to discuss other issues for early career researchers and we hope to facilitate network building as well.
Speakers will include:
- Jo Bates, the iSchool at the University of Sheffield
- Kevin Crowston, the iSchool at Syracuse University
- Caroline Haythornthwaite, the iSchool at Syracuse University
- Steve Sawyer, the iSchool at Syracuse University
Participants can sign up for the 2018 Early Career Colloquium when they register for iConference 2018, and there is no additional fee for taking part.
